Toco Toucan birds are the largest and best known species in the Toucan family . It is found in semi open habitats in a large part of Central and Eastern South America.

Characteristics of Toco Toucans

Toco Toucans have striking plumage with a black body, white throat and a blue or orange eye ring. Their most popular feature, however, is its huge yellow beak with a black or blue tip, which looks heavy but is incredibly light because the inside is hollow.

1. They have the largest bill (beak) among all bird species which they used to reach fruits on trees while sitting on the branch only


2. A female Toucan lays two to four eggs which hatches in 15 to 18 days.
